5 Stars and 5 Points For Bedford

5 years ago By Steve Davis

Tigers Clear Leaders Of The Pack

Well the team of the round was surely Bedford Tigers who managed to earn the maximum 5 points in a single match with bonus for an away win, home and away completion and another for travelling over 100 miles for a game against Phantoms. That leaves the Tigers way out in front now on 17 points and with fixtures booked in the final two weeks, it will prove tough to catch them.

Hemel on the other hand have been caught in 4th place by South London Storm, with both teams on 8 points. West Norfolk and St Albans are both on their tails sniffing around for a finals spot and a likely match up in Bedford. Both teams have enough games planned to catch up and the finals race is like no other (at least in the one year that it has been managed by myself) before.

This leaves Hammersmith and Mudchute on 12 and 11 respectively who are both travelling to St Albans on Saturday to try and catch Bedford to finish first at the close of the regular season. Likely scenario is that the two teams who are undefeated, will be testing each other and staking a claim for the other home semi final.
